Project Planning & Monitoring:
The Project Plan covers the processes
,milestones, schedules, roles & responsibilities, Quality
assurance activities, testing strategy, configuration
management & metrics to be collected and analysis technique.
Project Plan is reviewed and approved by the team. Project
activities are tracked and monitored as per the reviewed &
approved Project Plan.
Software Requirement Specification:
A requirement specification document is prepared by the team
as per customer requirements. At a minimum this requirement
includes
* Functional &
performance requirements
* Applicable
security requirements
* Requirements
not stated by customer but necessary for the intended use of
the product.
* Any other
requirement essential for design & development.
The requirement
specification document is reviewed and approved by the team,
which forms the baseline for the subsequent design and
coding phases. Changes, if any, to the requirement
specification after the approval, are studied, their impact
evaluated, documented, reviewed and approved before the same
are agreed upon and incorporated.
Design: The design phase
is carried out using an appropriate system design
methodology, standard & guidelines. Requirement document
forms the input for carrying out design activities. The
design output is documented in a design document and
reviewed by the team. Changes, if any, to the Design
document after the approval, are studied, their impact
evaluated, documented, reviewed and approved before the same
are agreed upon and incorporated.
Coding: The Adas Project
Management Team
constructs the software product to be delivered to meet the
design specification using:
* Suitable
techniques, methodology, standard and guidelines
* Appropriate
validation and verification techniques are identified in the
Project Plan.
Changes, if any,
to the software program after the review, are studied, their
impact evaluated, documented, reviewed and approved before
the same are agreed upon and incorporated.
Review: In order to
remove defects/ error from the work products early &
efficiently and to develop a better understanding of causes
of defects so that defects might be prevented software work
products, including code are reviewed by the team. Review
comments are logged and tracked to closure using defined
methodologies.
Testing & Validation:
the overall test strategy, identifying the different stages
of testing and the testing objectives at each stage, is
documented in the Project Plan. The test strategy includes
validation of the complete product.
Test plans & Test specifications are prepared as identified
in the test strategy. The test plans & specifications are
reviewed and approved by the team.
Testing is
carried out in accordance with the above test documentation.
Test results including defects detected are recorded and
tracked to closure.
Final Inspection: Before
delivery of the Product, team ensures that all tests,
reviews, approvals, acceptances as stipulated in the Project
Plan have been completed and documented.
Acceptance: The customer
generally reviews and tests the final Product. The customer
may also review or test intermediate deliveries as well. The
Adas Project Management Team assists the customer in planning and conducting
the Acceptance test, as stipulated in the contract.
The customer may
prepare the Acceptance Test Plan covering schedule,
evaluation procedures, test environment and resource
required and conduct acceptance tests.
Any problems and
defects reported during the acceptance testing phase are
analyzed and rectified by Adas Project Management Team.
If required, we can include installation, maintenance,
incidence & problem management during maintenance and
release management after delivery, etc…
Life Cycle Support Activities
Configuration
Management: A plan for managing the software configuration
is prepared by the PL covering the identification of the
software items & baseline, version control and configuration
status monitoring.
The Configuration Management Plan
as implemented according to the project:
* Baseline of
released data, products and documents are recorded and
maintained
* Changes to base
lined data, product and documents are controlled through
change control procedures.
* Change requests
are traceable to the software items affected by the changes.
Measurement & Analysis:
In accordance with business objectives, quantitative,
measurable goals for improving product/ service quality,
increasing productivity, reducing the cycle time for product
development and improving service are established. These are
in addition to the quality objectives specified by the
customer.
Adas Project Management Team
collects data to measure and monitor the product/ service and
process quality as documented in the Project Plan. These
metrics are used to monitor and manage the achievement of
the project objectives.
The software
process improvement performance is monitored against the
goals mentioned above.
Standards & Guidelines:
Appropriate standards and guidelines are followed in the
projects. If the customer provides standards & guidelines,
the same are reviewed and then used.
Tools &
Techniques: The tools, methodologies and techniques
identified for use in a project are documented in the
Project Plan.
